We offer our guests the option of shiatsu massage.
Shiatsu is a Japanese therapeutic bodywork technique based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western medicine knowledge. Shiatsu literally means “finger pressure,” but it is much more than acupressure. The practitioner may use fingers, palms, forearms, and knees to apply not only pressure but also gentle forms of manipulation such as passive stretching to release any tension/pain in the body. This technique is used to achieve balance and harmony in the body through pressure and manipulation at specific points on the body, promoting the flow of life energy, known as “Qi.”
